Yes. The Veranda at Dean’s features an open-air patio space on the Brazos side of the restaurant, complete with an ivy-laced bar and views of Austin’s Tau Ceti mural. Guests can enjoy daily happy hour specials or request the full Dean’s menu while dining outdoors during SXSW.
Due to our liquor license, we are unable to allow any outside alcohol in the restaurant. As a result, we do not offer a corkage fee.
Yes! Guests are welcome to bring in a cake for celebrations. A $40 flat fee applies if you plan to enjoy the cake in-house. If you’d like our team to cut and present the cake for your party, there is an additional $5 per person service fee.
Absolutely. The Private Dining Room is available for lunch events, offering the same exceptional service and ambiance as our dinner service. It's perfect for corporate luncheons, celebrations, or any special occasion.
Yes. Dean’s Private Dining Room is available during SXSW for corporate dinners, hosted experiences, and client entertainment. Due to increased demand in downtown Austin during the festival, advance reservations are recommended.

Yes! Dean’s offers a personalized Loyalty Card program where you earn 1 point for every $1 spent on food and beverages. Once you reach 300 points, you’ll receive a $25 reward to use on a future visit. Just ask your server for a card and register it online to start tracking your rewards. Points cannot be combined or transferred between guests, and rewards have no cash value.
Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome.
While there is no strict dress code, we recommend smart casual attire.
